Abstract

Throughout the deindustrialization, regional regeneration way of using culture and arts is increasing rather than the physical maintenance. Urban regeneration which is carried out by culture and arts presents in a various form and in a way that needs participation of artistic group, the network of them plays crucial role. In this context, the public tries to establish a strategy by attracting the group in a region or making their working space. However, most cases can be categorized that a network of an artistic group naturally led regional revitalization or the public tried to enforce the similar strategy. Both of them show shortcomings for example limits to institutional or financial backing of the public, pressure of development and possibility of maintaining the identity of the region. Thus, this study investigates the relationship between the participation of regional revitalization project which was conducted by both the public and artistic group and cultural industries from the beginning. In this way this study suggests a way of cooperation and having partnership between for both the public and non government organization to achieve effective regional revitalization.
