Abstract
There is a lot of economic pressure in the conversion of traditional meters to smart meters, so there is a need to develop smart meter reading technology based on computer vision. There are a large number of computer-vision-related meter reading technologies on the market, but they may be applicable to different scenarios and have their own advantages and disadvantages. After comparative research, it was found that many simple algorithms can solve meter-reading weaknesses, but they all have some weaknesses. Our analysis of common meter reading technologies based on computer vision can allow us to better understand this field, understand the use of various algorithms, and at the same time have positive guiding significance for the pursuit of better algorithms.
