Abstract

Maxillary impacted canines might cause root dilacerations of itself, or root resorption of the adjacent teeth. For accurate diagnosis, use of three dimensional radiographic imaging is necessary. The present case received two-phase orthodontic treatment. In the beginning of the treatment, anterior cross bite was corrected by two-by-four appliance and bite turbo. During second stage of the treatment, the space of bilateral maxillary canine was created. The impacted canines were exposed by performing apically positioned flap (APF) followed by alignment of the dentition.
