Abstract
A case of valvular aortic stenosis, supravalvular aortic stenosis and coarctation of the aorta is presented. The patient, a 17 year old girl, presented with easy fatigability, occasional frontal headaches and vague chest pain. The prominent physical findings were a systolic ejection murmur over the base of the heart, a systolic thrill and bruit in the neck, and diminished femoral artery pulses. At cardiac catheterization there was a 36 mm. Hg pressure gradient across the aortic valve, a 20 mm. Hg gradient across the supravalvular obstruction and a 10 mm. Hg gradient across the coarctation. The pathology and possible relation of the coarctation and supravalvular aortic stenosis are discussed.
