Abstract

Gliosarcoma is a very uncommon primary brain malignancy and is considered a subtype of glioblastoma. It represents approximately 2% of cases classified as glioblastoma. Treatment of gliosarcoma follows the paradigm for glioblastoma with recommendations for a maximal allowable resection followed by post-operative radiation therapy to the operative bed with concurrent temozolomide.
