Abstract

Background: In general, malignant tumors arising from salivary gland are uncommon and salivary duct carcinoma (SDC) is extremely rare but highly aggressive in head and neck region. As previously reported, the diagnosis by clinical examinations has a major challenge due to its variety of differential diagnosis. Here we show a case of SDC developed in submandibular gland showing a poor diagnosis by clinical findings including radiographic features.
