Abstract

Objective To improve the understanding of primary pulmonary artery sarcoma(PAS)and raise the level of diagnosis. Methods The clinical manifestations, imaging manifestation and laboratory tests of PAS were analysed combined with the clinical data of one PAS patient confirmed with biopsy and relevant foreign and domestic literatures. Results The clinical manifestations of PAS are familiar to those of pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE). There are certain limitations to identify PAS and PTE by CT pulmonary angiography and it is contributing to PET/CT. Conclusions The clinical manifestations and conventional imaging of PAS are less specific, and PET/CT is of more value. Key words: Sarcoma ; Pulmonary artery; Diagnosis
