Abstract

We here report a case of a 24-year-old woman who presented stomachache six months after heart transplantation for dilated cardiomyopathy. Her Epstein-Barr virus antibody was negative at the pre-transplant period. Though upper gastrointestinal endoscopy revealed only mild duodenal ulcer, stomachache worsened and accompanied a high fever. Computed tomography revealed edema of small intestine and swelling of mesenteric lymph nodes. Biopsy of the small intestine with double balloon technique revealed diffuse infiltration of lymphocytes to mucosa.
