Abstract

A 33-year-old man with mild heartburn visited the hospital and underwent EGD. He had no relevant medical history and no known allergic reactions to medications and foods. He did not smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol. On normal white-light imaging (A), several lines of white protrusions without stenosis of the lumen were observed in the middle to the lower part of the esophagus. Magnifying endoscopy (B) revealed an increased and congested intrapapillary capillary loop and invisibility of the submucosal vessels.
