Abstract

We present a rare case of leukoderma probably caused by a soap containing neem oil. Leukodermas on the face, neck, and hands matched areas where the soap was used, and spontaneous repigmentation started immediately after discontinuation of soap use. Histological evaluation revealed perivascular and perifollicular inflammatory cell infiltration with some melanophages in the superficial dermis, a decrease in melanocytes, and a lack of melanin granules.
