Abstract
Legionella pneumonia is difficult to distinguish from bacterial pneumonia, therefore rapid Legionella testing, particularly in areas with high rates of incidence, is important for targeted therapy.Legionella pneumonia with rhabdomyolysis with extremely high CPK levels is usually associated with AKI but preserved kidney function is possible and early diagnosis and treatment can lead to decreased mortality and morbidity in severe cases.
