Abstract
A case of huge liposarcoma of spermatic cord is reported, together with a review of case reports in the Japanese literature. A 57-year-old man was seen with a complaint of swelling of the left scrotal content. We made a preoperative diagnosis of the tumor in the left scrotum and performed high orchiectomy. The pathological diagnosis was liposarcoma. There were 21 cases of spermatic cord liposarcoma reported in Japan; the primary lesion was more common in the left side than in the right side, the majority of cases were well-differenciated liposarcoma and the recurrence cases were three in number. It was frequently observed in the recurrence cases that the histological type was myxoid and the operation was extirpaion only.
