Abstract

Adenomyoma is a form of adenomyosis that forms a mass or growth around the tissue of the inner uterus. This tumor is rare and usually found in corpus uteri and very rarely in cervix. We report a 48-year-old woman with cervical adenomyoma protruding from vulva. She presented with atypical genital bleeding and watery vaginal discharge and the tumor was seen by visual inspection. On MR imaging, the tumor was showed as a hyperintense and homogenous mass of multiple cystic lesions. The tumor was resected. Pathologically, the diagnosis was cervical adenomyoma. The findings were not typical, so we were not able to make specific diagnosis. From this case, a differential diagnosis of such tumor should include adenomyoma.
