Abstract

A 77-year-old female was admitted with the complaint of abdominal distension. She was diagnosed as ileocecal carcinoma by barium enema and colon fiberscopy. Right hemicolectomy with regional lymphnode dissection was canied out. Postoperative microscopical examination revealed adenosquamous carcinoma of the colon. Primary adenosquamous carcinoma of the colon is uncommon and 91 cases have been reported in the world.
