Abstract
This study analyzes the causes of a specific fire in a foreign car. The car driver refueled at a gas station of a highway stopover and drove about 10 km on the highway before a fire destroyed the car. The carmaker took apart the engine to investigate the causes, but they could not find the cause of the fire. The author was then asked to undertake further investigation. This second investigation revealed that fuel leaked from injector No. 1 onto the exhaust manifold cover and this ignited the fire. It also determined that the responsibility for the fire caused by the fuel leak from injector No. 1 rests with the carmaker. Keywords: Car Fire, Fire Investigation, Fuel Leakage, Fire Case Analysis
