Abstract
The author recollects the years he spent as an IEEE Congressional Fellow serving as a legislative assistant to a US senator. The author was assigned to two subject areas-transportation and the environment. The author discusses the things he had to learn to enable him to meet his job requirements and describes various aspects of his work. >
