Abstract
Calix[6]arene reacts with 2 equiv. of PCl3 to form a bidentate diphosphite ligand L which coordinates to Pd, Pt and Re in a cis fashion and, according to X-ray analysis, with a bite angle of approximately 90° for a palladium complex [PdCl2L].
