Abstract

The article by Paiva et al. Seasonality of bronchiolitis in newborns and young infants in times of a SARS-CoV- 2 pandemic 1 published in the Pediatric Residence brings interesting aspects, raising the discussion that the Covd-19 Pandemic has impacted care in a pediatric intensive care unit very sharply. The Pandemic, which came to be considered insignificant in children from the point of view of morbidity and mortality , was not quite like that in Brazil. Data on mortality from COVID-19 in the country reached high values in children, according to the Fiocruz Portal 2.
