Abstract

A broadband dual-polarized multi-resonance antenna is designed in this paper. The antenna is composed of the main radiator, integrated baluns, and reflector. Different from the traditional balun-fed dual-polarized antenna, an additional resonant mode is produced by etching slot on the ground of the integrated balun. The bandwidth of the antenna is effectively expanded without increasing the antenna size or changing the shape of the dipole. The antenna is well invented and simulated. The simulated results confirm that the antenna has a very wide impedance bandwidth (1.64-3.39 GHz) of about 70% with VSWR less than 1.7, and the isolation between the two ports is greater than 25 dB. In addition, the proposed antenna has a stable gain within 8.7±1.5 dBi and the half-power beamwidth within 60°±8° in the operating band.
