Abstract
The Construction Industry Council in Hong Kong provides a platform for the many different stakeholders in the region’s construction industry to express their views on the sustainable and long-term development of the industry. The council also works for the betterment of the society as a whole by working towards improvements in construction skills, the safety and welfare of practitioners and workers, environmental awareness, professionalism, efficiency and competitiveness. This paper examines the work undertaken by the council to achieve its vision of driving for unity and excellence in the construction industry of Hong Kong.
