In the fist half of the last century, Mazda was a well-known trade name and trademark used and respected widely in the tungsten filament incandescent lamp industry. It was also a service mark indicating excellence and adherence to high design and manufacturing standards and its program contributed directly to industry standardization. This article describes what was one of the most successful advertising, manufacturing, and marketing campaigns in history, one that dominated incandescent lighting for decades
