Abstract
The issues of electricity quality and its reliability are the main drivers of our country's economy. The main objective of power system is to provide good quality of power supply to the consumers. The electrical energy used by the end users becomes comfort, loss reduction and affordable cost. This paper examines power quality problems and addresses this problem using various mitigation techniques in electrical power systems. This paper presents an overview of FACT devices such as DVRs, D-STATCOMs, and Auto-transformers in mitigating various power disturbances.
