Abstract

AbstractA boundary value method is presented for solving a class of nonlinear, singularly perturbed, two‐point boundary value problems with a boundary layer on the left end of the underlying interval. By constructing a modified problem with a boundary layer correction, the boundary layer is dealt with separately. The method is iterative on the terminal point of the boundary layer. A lower bound for the terminal point of the perturbation parameter and some theoretical results of the method are discussed for linear problems. Finally, some numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the method.
