Abstract

The book is on a very important constitutional value and topic of great interest to the society as a whole. Rule of law is abstract term at one side, while it is to provide procedural fairness to all who interact with the justice system, on the other. It is to ensure that everyone is treated in accordance with law. Rule of law means it is not rule of men or women. It means certainty, it means clarity, it means consistency, it means equality, it means fairness, it means balance, it means a level playing field. Not the ordinary person but the State as the greatest might is to be controlled and ruled under the laws of the land. No one is above the law. The book has covered many of the above dimensions and dynamic of the term ‘rule of law’. It has been written in the fashion of authentic quotes from the philosophers, jurists, judges, writers and thinkers to make it an authentic piece of writing. It is brief at one side but deep at the other. It is addition into the existing literature in an academic setting. The author is well deserving to write on this topic keeping in view his studies, orientation, writings and research. He has laid his hands on treatise, texts, judgments and literature that was relevant and suitable for the book in hand.
