Abstract
The Blocking Filter(BF) design scheme which can meet the needs of suppressing Torsional Interaction(TI) and avoid Asynchronous Self-Excitation (ASE) simultaneously cannot been found in the BF design of the 5th stage project of the Tuoketuo (TKT) power plant. Therefore a new design method of BF for suppressing both TI and ASE is proposed in this paper, and the principle of the method is also analyzed. Taking the design of BF in the 5th stage project of TKT power plant as an example, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the eigenvalue and the electromagnetic transient simulation program, which indicates that the BF designed by the new method can successfully solve the ASE, TI and Transient Torque Amplification (TA) — three types of Subsynchronous Resonance (SSR) problems. Compared with the method of adding small resistors in the reactor circuit, the new BF can significantly improve the performance of ASE, TI and TA.
