Abstract
From pea plants (Pisum sativum) with necrotic stem streaking a virus (E207) was isolated and readily transmitted by sap to all 30 pea cultivars tested. In most of these infection was latent.Trijolium incarnatum, T. repens andVicia faba sometimes reacted with systemic symptoms. Local lesions were rarely formed in twoChenopodium spp.,Phaseolus vulgaris andV. faba and more often inC. album, C. amaranticolor, C. quinoa andGomphrena globosa. The other 6 hosts of the 32 plant species tested in total did not produce symptoms.
