Abstract

A biochemical and clinical study of an uncommon lesion, the median palatine cyst associated with three pulpless teeth was presented. Three neutral lipids in the cystic tissue and cystic fluid were identified by ascending thin layer chromatography. A biochemical model involving these neutral lipids in the pathogenesis of cystic lesions is presented for future investigation.
