Abstract
The purpose of this bioassay was to assess the effectiveness of fresh and field-aged molluscicide baits for control of dusky slug, which is a common slug pest in Virginia. All slug baits (Iron Fist and Deadline) were commercially formulated and obtained from AMVAC Chemical Corporation. Samples of 100 g of each bait product were applied to a no-till cornfield located near Blacksburg, VA on 29 May 2015.
