Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aimed to present a bibliometric overview and visualization and altmetric analysis of the scientific output of Anatolia (1997–2018). The required data were extracted from Scopus and the journal website. Bibliometric analyses and visualization were done running VOSviwer. In doing so, Anatolia highly mentioned papers and the rate of their presence in social media were extracted from Altmetric LLP. The results indicated an increasing trend in the published papers and received citations over the course of study period. Furthermore, some leading journals and institutes cited Anatolia papers in their research studies. Highly frequent keywords and keyword co-occurrence patterns showed that most topics were related to tourism and hospitality field.
