Abstract
A study of technical and engineering aspects of GaAs solar cells under environmental conditions corresponding to those encountered in space is presented. A general model is developed to analyse the balance between mass, area and power for Si and for GaAs arrays and the implications for choices between GaAs concentrating arrays and Si flat panels.
