Abstract

A band-notched dual-polarized crossed dipole antenna for the 2G/3G/4G base station applications is proposed in the paper. Firstly, the crossed dipole antenna is designed to cover the frequency of 1.7-2.7 GHz, using the coplanar waveguide feeding structure. Then, a band-notch (2.2-2.5 GHz) is realized by introducing coplanar waveguide filters inside the dipole antenna. As a result, the proposed antenna works within 1.7-2.2 GHz and 2.5-2.7 GHz for VSWR < 1.5. The average gain comparison of the proposed antenna is 8.4 dBi for the lower band and 8.7 dBi for the higher band. The minimum gain in the notched band is -12.4 dBi, which is 21 dB less than the gain in the working frequency.
