Abstract

A balanced dual-band substrate integrated dielectric strip resonator (SIDSR) filter utilized PCB substrates to replace the metal cavity has been proposed. With such a layout, the suggested filter exhabits the characteristics of low profile and easy integration. Additionally, the high quality factor and low dielectric loss can be obtained because of hollowing out part of the substrates on the upper and lower layers of the dielectric substrate. Two passbands are obtained by exciting the ${\text{TE}}_{111}^{\text{y}}$ mode and ${\text{TE}}_{11\delta }^{\text{z}}$ mode in the SIDSR by differential feeding. For the purpose of demonstration, it is simulated. The close consistency between simulation and experimental results is presented, the insertion loss is 0.8dB, the profile height is only 0.6λg, and four TZs.
