Abstract

The rate constant of the reaction CH3+C2H6→CH4+C2H5 at 980–1130 K has been determined by a competition method, using as reference the reaction of CH3 with D2. The Arrhenius dependence obtained is lgk1=(−11.3±0.5)–(13.6±2.2)/2.3RT (cm3 molecule−1 s−1).
