Abstract

This communication reports single-, two- and four-port MIMO antenna configuration designed for resonance frequency of 28.0GHz exclusively for future 5G Technology communication radiating Electromagnetic Energy. The Duroid2.20 dielectric material is used in designing the antenna with size of the single-port antenna corresponds to 100mm2, two-port size 200mm2 and four port with size 400mm2. The radiating EM wave patch in each antenna configuration is identical with circular patch is etched with pair of rectangular slots and a V-type slot with beveled ground for achieving 28.0GHz bandwidth and matching of the impedance. The designed MIMO antenna offers bandwidth of 27.18GHz-29.20GHz with isolation of more than 15.0dB. The minimum isolation of D1 and D2 ensures gain of 4.29dBi at 28.0GHz with radiation efficiency of 98.23%. The diversity characteristics with values corresponding to Env. Cor. Coef.=0.025 at 28.0GHz, Dirc. Gain=9.98dB at 28.0GHz, Tot. Act. Ref. Coef.=-37.50dB at 28.0Ghz & Ch. Cap. Loss=0.10b/s/Hz at 28.0GHz confirms the successful deployment of the 28.0GHz MIMO antenna in the different wireless communication applications. The 5G infrastructure designed is well suited for electromagnetic wave transmission and is useful for information and communication technology as well as mobile users.
