Abstract
The article addresses challenges associated with analysing factors that affect the efficiency of business operations that people at different levels of management face. The authors use Ishikawa diagrams as a key tool in their proposed approach to analysing information needs of an enterprise. They also identify crucial external and internal factors that have a direct effect on the efficiency of enterprises under current local and global economic conditions. The main contribution of the article is a 5-step process that company managers can use to determine which factors they should focus on in order to improve the efficiency of their enterprises.(original abstract)
