Abstract

Pathologic Perforator Vein (PPV) endovenous laser ablation therapy (EVLT) is known to be safe and effective. Published rates of procedure-related endovenous heat-induced thrombosis (EHIT) of the deep venous system are 1.20% at 1 month observed at an energy range of 50-70 Joules. We sought to examine if higher energy leads to an increase in EHIT rates.
