Abstract

A 30-year-old man presented to the ED complaining of recurrent episodes of facial flushing, described as a “sensation of fullness and redness” in his face when adopting the supine position. These symptoms started 2 months prior to presentation and were associated with headache, orthopnea, chest pain, and nonproductive cough. The patient denied any history of recent respiratory illness, diarrhea, dyspnea, weight loss, fever, diaphoresis, skin rash, dizziness, or hoarseness.
