Abstract
Emanation of wireless body area network (WBAN) augmented the high secured data transmission from human body to the outside world. The importance of efficient RF transceivers plays an relevant role, which consist of low noise amplifier(LNA), band pass filter, ADC for the receiver side. This paper mainly deals with LNA which is the very essential part of LNA. The topology used here to design LNA is source degeneration with cascaded structure. LNA consist of spiral inductor which consumes more area and lack in quality factor, this spiral inductor is replaced by an active inductor. Active inductor used LNA gives a gain of 70.61dB, noise figure of 12.673dB and high SNR of 57.942dB. The frequency range used to design LNA is at 2.4GHz of ISM band, this frequency range is out of radiation hazards. The LNA is designed at 180nm technology using CADENCE VIRTUOSO.
