Abstract

This paper presents a low power current reuse low noise amplifier with an active inductor load for an RF Receiver front end. The low noise amplifier is the key block of an RF receiver plays a critical role in determining the noise figure of a receiver. Low noise amplifier is a cascaded current reuse source degenerative cascode amplifier and a resistive feedback active inductor load amplifier. Active inductor load is proposed to achieve low power consumption and low noise figure. The proposed LNA achieves a gain of 17.49 dB, noise figure as less as 0.60 dB, IIP3 of -1.78 dBm with an average power consumption of 4.14mW at 1.8V power supply.
