Abstract

A 12-year-old boy presented to the emergency department (ED) with a chief complaint of rash. The rash appeared the day prior to arrival and was accompanied by a mild asthma exacerbation. The rash was non-tender; however, he said the lesions felt like they were “burning.” The lesions started on his torso and then spread to include his thighs, neck, and upper back.
