Abstract

This paper presents a design methodology for developing a Butterworth type 100Hz low-pass second order Sallen-and-Key active filter. The proposed design method is intended to design filtering systems based on commercial components. Since these components have tolerances, a relative sensitivity analysis is included in order to satisfy design specifications. Experimental results show a maximum relative error, er=2.0%, at the cut-off frequency; the Op-Amp UA741 is used.
