Abstract

A 0.22 THz input/output system for sheet beam traveling wave tubes is designed. It is mainly constituted by two components: two Bragg reflectors, one L-shaped waveguide, two matching steps and an RF window. The results of CST simulation show that the transmission coefficient curve S <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">21</inf> is above -0.16 dB while the reflection coefficients curve S <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">11</inf> is below -15 dB in the bandwidth of 47.3 GHz (201.9-249.2 GHz).
