Abstract
We present a new implementation for a terahertz flux-flow oscillator based on a long Josephson junction, in this concept the oscillator is integrated with the lens antenna providing the THz emission in the open space. The slot planar antenna is used for radiation and matched to the oscillator (by the input) and to the elliptical silicon lens with a width of 10 mm (by output). Three designs of antenna coupled with the oscillator by a microstrip line are developed and calculated, the obtained operating ranges are 250 – 410 GHz, 330 – 570 GHz and 420 - 700 GHz. The impedance and beam pattern of antenna designs are calculated.
