Abstract
AbstractWe describe two new A(α)‐stable methods, a 4‐cyclic 4‐step and a 5‐cyclic 5‐step method with P = 6 and P = 7, respectively. This is in contrast to the originally developed methods [5] which have greater order of accuracy (P = 2k) but a small stability region Moreover, the new methods show better stability than the backward differentiation formulas (BDF) in [6] and th cyclic composite methods in [14] of the same order.
