Abstract

Neurilemoma is a benign tumor originating from Schwann cells. It is a rare tumor in the oral cavity, usually asymptomatic, single, slow growing, which in some cases can reach up to 2 cm in diameter. It usually occurs in the tongue and oral mucosa. It is more common in young adults. The aim of this study is to report the case of a tongue lesion in a patient in the third decade of life, with a 9-year evolution, asymptomatic, of about 3 cm.
