Abstract

In this study, we used the numerical simulation tool FLUENT to numerically simulate the combustion of ammonia-hydrogen fuel in the combustion chamber of a 9E heavy-duty gas turbine, and analysed the effects of different hydrogen blending ratios on the stability of ammonia combustion and NOx emissions. We found that an increase in the hydrogen mixing ratio in the fuel during the ammonia-hydrogen mixture combustion process contributes to the reduction of NOx emissions and has a positive effect on combustion stability.
