Abstract

In the two days since 988, the three‐digit number for 24/7 crisis care, went live, the U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra, called the launch a “good day” during a July 18 stakeholder briefing on the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline's transition to 988. The hope is for more good days in addressing crisis care, he added.
