Abstract
Several low-rank coals were selected and heat-treated at a special designed apparatus to improve their slurryability, the characteristics of the changes of CWS rheological behavior were studied in detail. Significant results were obtained that the upgradings of types of low-rank coal can cause a great improvement on their slurryabilities which depends on the rank of the parent coal, and the preferable upgrading temperature were found to be 300{degrees}C for most of the low-rank coals studied in this paper. The static stability of CWS also show a obvious regular changes with upgrading temperature.
