Abstract

In June last year, the Nordic Energy Ministers decided that the Noway-Sweden power exchange would begin operation at the beginning of 1996 and that Finland would join at the beginning of 1997. In what could be seen as Finland's first step towards joining this Nordic power exchange system, the country is due to begin operating its own power trading system this summer.
