Abstract

It is well-known that the torsional deformation behavior of polycrystalline materials is significantlly depending on the characteristic length such as grain size and diameter of wires. In order to reproduce the torsional deformation behavior that depends on these characteristic length, we develop a polycrystalline model that can be used for the axisymmetric torsion problem. Through the finite element simulation, we clarified the effect of grain size and diameter of wires on the deformation behavior of polycrystalline materials.
